Chaos erupted on Soho Road, Handsworth, Birmingham last night as West Midlands Ambulance Service rushed to the scene at 8.22pm. They dispatched three ambulances, three paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor, a critical care paramedic, and a Critical Care Car from the Air Ambulance Service.

The team sprang into action amid serious concerns, with a patient quickly transported to the 123 District Hospital for urgent assessment.

Meanwhile, a man from a nearby car was checked over by ambulance staff. Thankfully, he did not require hospital treatment and was given self-care advice before being discharged at the scene.
