New Comedy-Drama “Boarders” Set to Premiere on BBC Three – UKNIP

A brand new comedy-drama series titled “Boarders” is about to hit the screens of BBC Three, promising an entertaining and thought-provoking ride for viewers. Created by Daniel Lawrence Taylor, who also stars in the series, “Boarders” follows the lives of five talented black teenagers who receive scholarships to a prestigious boarding school. However, they soon discover that they’ve been brought in to improve the school’s image following a scandal, leading them to navigate a world that is both unfamiliar and challenging.

The synopsis of the series, as described on the Radio Times website, sets the stage for the intriguing storyline: “Jaheim is soon warring with troublemaker Rupert, while Leah runs into conflict with the headmaster. Omar will do whatever it takes to prove a secret society is real, while Femi finds some unlikely friends who encourage him to take part in a bizarre school ritual. Toby is misjudged by his new peers, but turns it to his advantage to impress a girl.

Daniel Lawrence Taylor, the creative force behind “Boarders,” expressed his hopes for the series, stating, “First and foremost, I just want people to have fun. I want them to come away loving the characters and wanting to be with them and warm to them.” He emphasized the importance of showcasing diverse characters in unique situations, aiming to provide both entertainment and engagement with the issues presented.
