Shoplifting Spree Ends in Arrest for Dean Pemble

Dean Pemble, a drifter with no fixed address, was arrested on Tuesday 2 April 2024 by the Thanet Neighbourhood Task Force. He now faces 16 charges of shoplifting.

£1,092 Worth of Stolen Goods

Pemble’s thefts span several months and locations.

  • 13 thefts from a petrol station store in Garlinge between 1 November 2023 and 14 March 2024, totaling £934 in stolen items including meat, alcohol, ready meals, and sweets.
  • Protein powder worth £47 taken from a shop on Enterprise Road, Margate on 17 November 2023.
  • Meat worth £46 stolen from a supermarket in High Street, Broadstairs on 11 January 2024.
  • A pair of trainers and socks valued at £65 stolen from a Broadstairs shop on 25 February 2024.

Next Stop: The Magistrates’ Court

Pemble was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 3 April. The case is sure to draw attention as the list of charges grows.
