Man Slashes Ex’s Lover with Meat Cleaver in Deptford Horror Attack
Ka Chun Wong, 27, has been handed a 25-year prison sentence for a brutal meat cleaver attack. The violent assault happened last October 7 at a flat on Naomi Street, Deptford, where Wong found his ex-girlfriend Ji Wu in bed with his friend, Zhi Liang Chen.
Love Triangle Turns Deadly
Wong, Wu, and Chen—all originally from China—were living in the UK when the savage attack took place. The court revealed a tangled love triangle: Wong and Wu had an “on and off” relationship, while Wu was also involved with Chen. Wong saw Chen as an “older brother figure,” adding more drama to the messy affair.
Shocking Assault Leaves Victims Traumatized
During the attack, Wong launched a terrifying assault with a meat cleaver. Mr Chen ended up with eight serious injuries, while Ms Wu needed urgent medical treatment. The victims remain deeply shaken by the savage attack.
Justice Served After Jury Trial
Following a jury trial, Wong was convicted of the attempted attack. The court condemned his actions as “heinous and unprovoked.” This brutal incident has sparked calls for tougher laws to stop similar violent episodes from happening again.
