Dartford Drivers Brace for 11 Road Closures This Month
Dartford motorists face chaos with 11 major road closures set to hit the National Highways network throughout July. These shutdowns could cause serious delays, with some lasting up to half an hour, according to National Highways.
Closure Hotspots and Expected Delays
- A282 (Dartford Crossing West Tunnel): From 10pm July 1 to 5:30am August 1, tunnel closed nightly for maintenance. Expect slight delays under 10 minutes, with diversions across the network.
- A2: Between June 17 and August 30, both directions will see a lowered speed limit from 50mph to 40mph, causing minor delays under 10 minutes.
- A13: From July 15-18, eastbound lane and full carriageway closures for electrical works will cause moderate delays of 10-30 minutes.
- A282 & M25: Multiple night closures from July 17-29 for maintenance and repairs, mostly causing slight delays under 10 minutes.
- A2 Bean to Tollgate: From July 22 to August 31, expect minor disruptions due to bridge works and a slip road diversion.
