Police rushed to Nursery Road, Knaphill at 12:36 am after receiving calls about a disturbance involving a weapon. On arrival, officers confronted a man in his 20s. He was shot at the scene by armed police and swiftly taken to hospital. He remains in a critical but stable condition. His next of kin have been informed.
Weapon Recovered – No Threat to Public
A weapon was recovered from the scene, with police confirming both men involved knew each other. Authorities stressed there is no ongoing risk to local residents.
Formal Investigation Launched
Surrey Police have formally referred the shooting to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) as per protocol. The force pledged full cooperation with the IOPC and declined further comment during the investigation.
