Vicious assault in Mansfield pub toilet
Police have released images of two men after a savage attack in a Mansfield pub toilet left a man with multiple broken bones. The shocking incident took place just after 4pm on Sunday 14 July at the Bowl In Hand pub on Leeming Street.
Victim left in hospital with serious injuries
The 50-year-old victim had earlier confronted a group of rowdy young men at The Swan pub on Church Street for throwing a plastic cup that hit another customer. After leaving with friends, he went to the Bowl In Hand and was assaulted while using the toilets.
Found by a staff member, the man was rushed to hospital where he stayed for five days with two broken ribs, a broken collarbone, and a broken shoulder blade. He is a self-employed delivery driver facing a recovery time of up to 12 months and ongoing physiotherapy.

“This was a brutal and cowardly assault on a man while he was using the toilet. It has had a massive impact on his life. We are determined to catch those responsible — this kind of behaviour has no place in Mansfield.”
“We need the public’s help to identify the two men in the images and urge anyone who recognises them or has information to come forward.”
