Teen Stabbed to Death in Croydon Street Horror
Police rushed to Bracken Avenue, Shrublands, Croydon, just after midnight on Thursday, 1 July, following reports of a disturbance. Inside the home, officers found 16-year-old Cameron, aka LilCamz, with stab wounds.
Emergency Crews Race to Save Teen
Officers gave immediate first aid before London Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance arrived. Despite their desperate efforts, Cameron was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:34pm. His next of kin have been informed, and formal ID is pending.
Homicide Probe Underway
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command, led by Detective Chief Inspector Dave Blair, has launched a murder investigation. Two crime scenes remain active: Cameron’s home and nearby Warren Street, where a suspect vehicle was abandoned.
“At this early stage we retain an open mind about the motive,” said DCI Blair. “We thank the local community for their patience and urge anyone who saw anything to come forward.”
No arrests have been made. Police continue their enquiries.
