Dashcam Footage and Witnesses Sought Following Collision in Ashford

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision that occurred in Ashford on Saturday, 19 October 2024.

The incident involved a white Ford panel van and a blue Ford Focus car. Reports indicate that the panel van was travelling down the eastbound one-way slip road onto the A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road from the Park Farm roundabout when it collided with the Ford Focus, which was reportedly travelling in the wrong direction.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 6 a.m., where a man received treatment from paramedics. A second man, aged 47 and from Ashford, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. He was subsequently taken to a local hospital for treatment and has since been released on bail.

Police are urging anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the collision, or anyone with dashcam footage that could assist in the investigation, to come forward. Individuals can contact Kent Police at 01843 222289, quoting reference number 46/177328/24.
