Emergency Rush to A406 Crash in Chingford
Emergency crews scrambled to the A406 in Chingford this morning following a serious collision involving multiple people. The London Ambulance Service was alerted at 11:30am on November 12, 2024, and quickly dispatched ambulances, a response officer, and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART). London’s Air Ambulance also joined the rescue effort.
Child and Man Rescued and Hospitalised
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: “We treated a child and a man at the scene and took them both to hospital by road. Another person declined further treatment.” Emergency teams freed a 12-year-old from one of the vans involved.
Police Confirm Collision Involving Two Vans
The Met Police confirmed they were called at 11:38am after two vans collided on Chingford Road, Waltham Forest. Officers, along with the London Fire Brigade and London Air Ambulance, attended the crash.
Both victims’ injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing. Officials say no arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing.
