Police Appeal for Information Following Assault at Exeter Christmas Market

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for information to identify a suspect involved in an assault at a Christmas market stall in Exeter.

The incident occurred on Friday, 29 November, between 6pm and 7pm at Princesshay shopping centre.

Details of the Incident

According to reports, a teenage girl approached a stall at the market. When challenged over payment, she allegedly assaulted a female stall worker. The victim suffered multiple injuries, including:

  • A bloody nose
  • Hair pulled out
  • A chipped tooth

The suspect fled the scene before she could be apprehended.

Description of the Suspect

The suspect is described as:

  • A white female, in her teens
  • Long black hair
  • Freckles
  • Wearing a black belly top and baggy blue trousers
  • Sporting a naval ring

Police Appeal

Officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who can help identify the suspect to come forward.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

“This was a distressing incident for the victim, and we are determined to identify the suspect involved. We urge anyone with information, no matter how small, to contact us.”
