Sussex Police Hunt Burglary Suspect in Arun District
Spate of Break-Ins Hits Rustington and Littlehampton
Sussex Police are on the lookout for a suspect linked to a string of business burglaries across the Arun district. The person, spotted wearing a distinctive yellow and black jacket, is thought to be behind five raids on local shops in Rustington and Littlehampton earlier this month.
The trouble kicked off in the early hours of 14 January. Targets included Lemon Grass, Fig Café & Tapas, and Clipper Street in Rustington. Windows were smashed, and a small amount of cash was stolen.
Charity Shops Also Hit
Just over a week later, on 22 January, two charity shops—Link to Hope and St Barnabas House in Littlehampton’s Anchor Springs—were also broken into. Police haven’t confirmed if anything was taken, but the similar style of the break-ins suggests one person is to blame.
