Two Arrested in Croydon Murder Probe After Fatal Shooting

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police have swooped on two suspects in connection with a deadly shooting on Imperial Way, Croydon, last Thursday.

Man, Woman Held Over Croydon Shooting

A 41-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of murder, while a 37-year-old woman faces charges of assisting an offender. Both remain held as police hammer away at their investigation.

The fatal shooting happened at around 5:04pm on Thursday, 19 June, leaving a man dead at the scene. Emergency services were quick to respond, but sadly, he could not be saved.

The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained police officers.

Met’s Specialist Crime Team Lead Inquiry

Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said:

“My thoughts remain with the victim’s family as they come to terms with this tragic loss. Our specially trained officers continue to offer support as this investigation progresses.”

“We urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to come forward and help us catch those responsible.”
