Cash Stolen in Distraction Theft in Folkestone: CCTV Images Released

Kent Police are investigating a distraction theft that occurred in Folkestone and have released CCTV images of two men they wish to identify. The incident took place on Thursday, 9 January, between midday and 1pm, when a woman was approached by two men while walking along Sandgate Road.

The men spoke to the woman, but when she returned home shortly after, she discovered a quantity of cash had been stolen from her trolley. Officers believe the two men may have crucial information that could assist with the ongoing investigation.

To aid the inquiry, police have released CCTV images of the two men and are asking the public for help in identifying them.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals pictured or has any information about the theft is urged to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/5424/25. Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

The investigation continues as officers work to identify those responsible for the theft.
