Major M25 Crash at Dartford Tunnel Sparks Chaos
A multi-vehicle smash has brought the M25 Dartford Tunnel to a crawl this morning. The crash happened anticlockwise between Junction 1A (Dartford) and Junction 31 (A1306 Lakeside/Purfleet), with gridlock stretching all the way back to Junction 2 (A2 Darenth interchange).
Lanes Shut as Tunnel Partially Closed
Two lanes have been shut, including the entire left-hand tunnel. Only the taller right-hand tunnel remains open, but traffic is inching forward at a snail’s pace. Eyewitnesses say one of the vehicles involved may have been a bus. The other vehicle involved has yet to be confirmed.
Emergency Crews on Scene – Avoid the Area
Emergency services rushed to the scene and are managing traffic while clearing the wreckage. Drivers are warned to expect major delays and urged to seek alternative routes. Stay alert and keep up with live traffic updates before you set off.
