Blaze Tears Through Glam Chiltern Firehouse
A massive fire has erupted at the famous Chiltern Firehouse, the lavish Marylebone hotel and restaurant. Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters are battling the fierce blaze.
Fire Rages Through Building’s Ducts
The fire started in the ducting system and has spread from the ground floor right up to the roof of the four-storey building. The ground floor houses the high-end restaurant that has now been engulfed in smoke and flames.
100 Evacuated as Firefighters Rush In
About 100 people were safely evacuated before the London Fire Brigade (LFB) arrived. The Brigade’s 999 Control got the emergency call at 2:52 PM and quickly sent fire crews from Euston, Soho, Paddington, West Hampstead, Kensington, and Chelsea to deal with the inferno.
Firefighters Still Struggling to Contain Blaze
Firefighters remain on scene fighting to control the fire and stop it from spreading further. The cause of the fire is still unknown. Authorities will launch an investigation as soon as the site is secure.
