Man Tasered and Arrested in Early Hours Lewisham Drama
Police Called to Thornford Road Disturbance
In the early hours of 20th February 2025, chaos erupted on Thornford Road, Lewisham, as police officers from the Violent Reduction Task Force responded to a reported disturbance. Tensions flared when a man refused to follow officers’ orders, forcing police to take drastic action.
Taser and Batons Used to Subdue Suspect
Officers tried to get the man to comply, but he wouldn’t back down. As a result, they deployed a Taser and extendable batons (ASPs) to bring him under control. Dramatic footage shared with UKNIP shows the tense moment police moved in to detain the individual.
“There were a lot of officers, and they were shouting at the guy to get on the ground. He didn’t listen, and then they tickled him with the taser. It all happened really fast,” a witness revealed.
Suspect Arrested but Details Still Fuzzy
The man was arrested at the scene, though police have not confirmed the nature of the offence or whether the suspect was injured during the incident. The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for comment but have held back on releasing further details.
