Mohammed Baig’s Reign of Terror
Mohammed Baig, 43, from Dewsbury, has been handed a two-year prison sentence at Swindon Crown Court after pleading guilty to a string of domestic abuse offences.
Between January and August 2024, Baig subjected his victim to relentless physical, emotional, and psychological abuse. His actions included controlling and coercive behaviour, assault, and dangerous driving.
Frightening Attack on the M42
The court heard how Baig’s abuse turned terrifying on August 8, 2024. While driving on the M42 motorway with the victim behind the wheel, Baig punched her in the head—risking both their lives and other road users.
Terrifying Car Chase Across Trowbridge
After the victim refused to speak to him, Baig went on a dangerous rampage on August 26, 2024. He chased her across multiple roads in Trowbridge, including Heather Shaw, Larkdown, Green Lane, Paxcroft Way, West Ashton Road, and County Way.
Witnesses described his erratic driving, swerving dangerously in front of and behind the victim’s car. He even smashed into her vehicle on West Ashton Road near Larkrise Farm, escalating the ordeal.
