Violent Rapist Jailed for 18 Years After Horrific Abuse
Elijah Mochia, 31, with no fixed address, was sentenced to 18 years behind bars for repeatedly raping a woman in her 20s during their toxic relationship. The Winchester Crown Court heard that violence and control ruled from the start.

Mochia forced the victim to sign controlling written contracts dictating her behaviour. Over six brutal months, he physically assaulted her relentlessly, choking her, punching her ribs, and even biting her ear.
He didn’t stop there — the court was told Mochia threatened her with scissors, adding another chilling layer to his reign of terror.
Defendant No-Show as Jury Delivers Guilty Verdict
Mochia snubbed his court date, refusing to appear as the trial went ahead without him. Still, the jury found him guilty on all counts. Sentenced on Friday the 28th, he faces 18 years in jail plus an eight-year extended licence.
He’ll also remain on the sexual offenders register for life—a grim reminder of his crimes.
