EastEnders fans are left gutted as Matthew James Morrison, aka Felix Baker, is set to quit the BBC soap after three years.

The actor, who stormed onto Albert Square in 2022 as part of the Baker-Taylor clan, is reportedly filming his farewell scenes soon. Felix, known for his alter ego drag queen Tara Misu, quickly became a fan favourite for bringing diversity and sparkle to the soap.
BBC Confirms Felix’s Exit
A BBC spokesperson said:
“We can confirm that Matthew will be leaving EastEnders later in the year. We wish him all the best for the future.”
Rumour has it soap chiefs decided the time had come to say goodbye to Felix. A source told The Sun:
“It’s never an easy decision for bosses when they have to make a character leave. Matthew’s been great, but they felt it was right to let Felix go.”
