Murder probe launched after woman found dead in Clacton home

Tragedy on Skelmersdale Road

A woman in her 40s was found dead inside a house in Clacton, Essex, sparking a full murder investigation. Emergency services rushed to Skelmersdale Road at 11:30am today after reports of a serious incident.

Despite paramedics’ best efforts, the victim was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Man arrested and hospitalised

A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of murder, Essex Police confirmed. The suspect was later taken to hospital in a serious condition, although details about his injuries remain under wraps.

Police pledge answers and community support

“Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the woman who sadly died,” said Detective Chief Inspector Rob Huddleston, leading the investigation. “We understand how worrying this is for the local community. Our officers were on site within five minutes and worked closely with ambulance teams to try to save her.”

Huddleston added: “We’ll keep a presence in the area over the coming days. Anyone with information or footage is urged to come forward.”

Police launch public appeal

Essex Police are calling on anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious near the time of the incident to get in touch. Residents with CCTV, doorbell cams, or dashcams may hold vital clues.
