Violence erupted in a Shooters Hill Road pub late Friday night. Police rushed to the scene after reports of a frenzied fight broke out inside the busy drinking spot in SE18.
One Man Hurt in Head-Butting Melee
The disturbance flared at 10:18pm on March 28. A group of men clashed aggressively inside the pub, leaving one man with head injuries. He was taken to hospital but, thankfully, his wounds are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Police Hunt for Pub Brawlers
The Metropolitan Police confirmed their investigation is ongoing. So far, no arrests have been made. Officers are sifting through CCTV footage from the pub and nearby areas to track down the fighters.
“We were called to a public house on Shooters Hill Road, SE18, at 22:18hrs on Friday, 28 March, following reports of a disturbance. A group of men were seen fighting, and one man was taken to hospital with injuries to his head. His injuries are not deemed to be life-changing. Enquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage,” a Met spokesperson said.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Authorities are appealing for anyone who saw the fracas or has information to contact them. Witnesses should call 101 and quote reference CAD 7878/28MAR25. The police want to piece together what sparked the violent outbreak.
