Kirk Medas, the beloved MTV reality star known for his role on Floribama Shore, has tragically died at the age of 33 after a severe battle with necrotising pancreatitis, his family has confirmed.
Medas had been hospitalized in intensive care since April 18, and was placed on a ventilator as his condition worsened. His family revealed that the cause of death was liver failure. Despite all efforts, he sadly passed away after spending over two weeks fighting for his life.
Before the family’s confirmation, Medas’ co-star Aimee Hall paid tribute to him in a heartfelt — now deleted — Facebook post, describing him as the “glue that held us all close.”
Though my heart is shattered, I find peace in knowing he’s no longer in pain,” Hall wrote. He’s in heaven now – free, whole, and making everyone laugh the way only he could.
Medas rose to fame when he joined the cast of Floribama Shore in 2017, starring alongside Nilsa Prowant, Gus Smyrnios, Jeremiah Buoni, Candace Rice, Codi Butts, Kortni Gilson, and Aimee Hall. The series ran until 2021 and cemented Medas as a fan favorite for his humor, charm, and larger-than-life personality.
In the weeks leading up to his death, Medas’ co-stars launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover mounting medical expenses. Messages of support flooded social media as fans and friends rallied behind him during his hospital stay.

“He’s been in the ICU on a ventilator for two weeks now, fighting necrotizing pancreatitis and sepsis. Watching someone you love go through something so painful is heartbreaking. We are so grateful for everyone’s prayers and support.”
