Major Water Outage Hits South London as Burst Pipe Near Mitcham Common Disrupts Supplies
Thousands of homes across south London have been left with little or no water after a large pipe burst near Mitcham Common, Thames Water has confirmed.
The incident has affected key Croydon booster stations, which help maintain pressure across the water network, severely disrupting supply to multiple postcodes including CR0, CR2, CR4, CR7, and SW16.
Engineers Working to Restore Supply
Thames Water engineers are on site working to isolate the burst pipe and repair the damage. In the meantime, water tankers have been deployed to pump water directly into the network to help stabilise supply.

A Thames Water spokesperson said:
“We’re really sorry to customers who are without water this morning. A burst pipe near Mitcham Common has caused a drop in pressure across the local system. Our teams are working around the clock to restore supply as quickly as possible.”
