Four Men Arrested After Teen Girl Allegedly Drugged and Assaulted in Fishponds Park
Four men have been arrested on suspicion of raping a teenage girl following an alleged drugging and sexual assault in Fishponds Park, Surbiton, south-west London. Police were called to the scene just before 7.15am on Thursday, 21 August after reports of a serious attack.
Forensic Teams Sweep Crime Scene
Officers quickly cordoned off Fishponds Park, setting up a blue forensic tent as forensic teams scoured the area throughout the day. Detectives confirmed the crime scene remains active as investigations continue.
Details of the Arrests
- A 24-year-old man was arrested for sexual assault and administering a substance with intent to commit a sexual offence.
- A 35-year-old and a 36-year-old man were both arrested on suspicion of rape, sexual assault, and administering a substance with intent to commit a sexual offence.
- A 41-year-old man was also held on suspicion of rape.
All four suspects remain in police custody.
Victim Receives Specialist Support
The teenage girl, whose exact age is undisclosed, is being supported by specially trained officers. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
