Man, 31, Left Fighting for Life After Brutal Assault in Dagenham
Emergency Response on Rainham Road South
A 31-year-old man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being attacked in Dagenham this morning (Tuesday, 26 August).
Police were called to Rainham Road South at 8:53am following reports of the assault. Officers arrived alongside the London Ambulance Service, who treated the victim at the scene before rushing him to hospital.
“We were called at 8.56am today (26 August) to reports of an incident on Rainham Road South, Dagenham. We sent an ambulance crew to the scene. We treated a man for a head injury and took him to hospital,” said a London Ambulance Service spokesperson.
Two Men Arrested Over Attack
Police swiftly arrested two suspects shortly after the incident:
- A 38-year-old man, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, robbery, and failing to provide a breath test.
- A 48-year-old man, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and robbery.
Both men remain in police custody as inquiries continue.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
Detectives from the Met are appealing for witnesses to come forward. A spokesperson urged:
“Enquiries into the circumstances continue. Anyone with information that may assist police is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 2236/26August.”
