Oxford Circus Stabbing Shocker: Two Men Hospitalised, Police Hunt Knife-Wielding Suspect
Chaos at Oxford Circus Underground Station after two men were stabbed in separate attacks just hours apart. Both victims are now in hospital as police launch a desperate hunt for the assailant.
Two Stabbings, Two Victims
The first stabbing happened just after 3.40am on Saturday, 30 August, when a 23-year-old man was found injured at the station. Emergency crews treated him on the spot before racing him to hospital.
A second stabbing struck around 1.30am on Sunday, 31 August. This time, a 41-year-old man was discovered with stab wounds, also rushed to hospital. Fortunately, neither victim’s injuries are thought to be life-threatening.
Police Release Suspect Image
The British Transport Police (BTP) have released a photo of a man they urgently want to speak to in connection with the incidents. Officers vow to boost their presence at Oxford Circus while the investigation continues.
Police Plea for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Davies said: “There is absolutely no place for violence on the rail network, and detectives are working at pace to investigate these two connected incidents. Passengers will see increased police presence at the station. We urge anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen what happened or anything leading up to it to come forward. Any information could be crucial to our enquiry.”
