Flightoworld Booking Scam Warning: Customer Slammed ‘Stressful’ Experience

A holidaymaker has blasted Flightoworld as a “scam operation” after a shocking travel booking saga. The customer claims the company misled them with fake prices and then pressured them into coughing up hidden fees totaling £869.

Fake Prices Lure in Customers

The trouble started when the customer found Flightoworld through a big-name flight comparison site. The company’s fares looked unbeatable – too good to miss. But it was a trap.

“After booking, I didn’t receive a ticket confirmation. Instead, 24 hours later, an agent called to say the booking wasn’t confirmed,” the customer revealed.

The advertised prices were described as “completely fake,” designed to snag unsuspecting travellers. The agent later claimed the flight had no baggage allowance—even though the comparison site said it did. To go ahead, the customer got strong-armed into forking out an extra £869 to “finalise” the booking.

Refund Refused Despite No Ticket

When the customer tried to get their money back, Flightoworld allegedly refused, despite not having confirmed the flight at all. Customers are now urged to act fast if they’ve booked with the firm.

Warning to Other Travellers

  • Contact your bank immediately to try and block or reverse payments.
  • Be aware some banks can only intervene after charges clear, raising your risk.
  • The case has been reported to ATOL and the flight comparison website for investigation.

The angry customer warned:

“Avoid Flightoworld at all costs. This is a scam operation. I highly doubt they operate legitimately in the UK—all communications were from agents based abroad.”

How to Stay Safe Booking Flights

  • Always check ATOL status on the UK Civil Aviation Authority website before booking.
  • Book direct with airlines where possible for reliable baggage policies and instant confirmation.
  • Be cautious with third-party sites – some host dodgy agents offering fake deals.

Don’t get caught out by Flightoworld’s alleged tricks. Stay alert and protect your cash before booking your next trip.
