Brutal Night Attack Near Essex Park
Horror struck near Villa Road Recreation Ground in Essex late Monday. A woman was raped and then stabbed while desperately trying to flee. The assault happened around 10:45pm when a man approached the victim. Despite serious injuries, she is expected to survive and is currently in hospital.
