Man rescued from Roof following Farnborough House Blaze

More than 50 firefighters were called to a house blaze in Alexandra Road, Farnborough. Eight engines from Rushmoor, Fleet, Hartley Wintney and Surrey Fire and Rescue Service attended with numerous support vehicles. The aerial ladder platform was also on the scene. One man was rescued from the roof with a 135m ladder and passed into care of South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS). The three-floor property was semi-detached and had been converted into bedsits. The fire was on the first floor and in the roof space. Crews used 18 sets of breathing apparatus, five jets and tactical ventilation. The stop message was at 15:50. A joint fire and police investigation is underway.
