Paramedic crews found an injured male lying in the road

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident in Albert Road, Southport, in the early hours of this morning, Saturday 27th July. At 4.25am ambulance crews found an injured male lying in the road. It is believed the male came off the electric cycle he had been riding. The man was taken to hospital where he sadly passed away. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of what happened. It is not believed he was in collision with another vehicle. Members of the public are believed to have stopped at the scene and we are appealing for anyone who is able to assist our investigation to DM @MerPolCC or call 101 quoting log 256 of 27th July.
