Kent Police Property Fund helps homeless charity in Gravesham

Gravesham charity gets cash boost A homeless charity helping people in Gravesham has benefitted from a cash boost from the police property fund. The Gravesham Sanctuary were awarded £1000 from the charitable fund which will be put to kitchen appliances at their new premises so they can provide meals for those using the shelter. The Sanctuary offers a winter shelter and drop-in centre for those experiencing homelessness. They offer help by providing a safe place to sleep, hot food and drinks, showers, laundry, clothing and guidance for people to obtain paperwork and ID. Presenting the cheque to Lorna and Steve Nolan was PC Zak Khan, he said: ‘I am delighted to be about to present this money to the Gravesham Sanctuary. They provide a much needed service to those who find themselves homeless over the winter months.’ The Kent Police Property Fund is made up from the sale of items seized in police operations.
