£1,000 Donation Fuels Support for Homeless
A homeless charity in Gravesham has landed a welcome cash boost thanks to the Kent Police Property Fund. The Gravesham Sanctuary received £1,000 to splash on kitchen appliances for their new base, helping provide hot meals to those in need.
Sanctuary Offers Lifeline This Winter
The Sanctuary runs a winter shelter and drop-in centre for the homeless, offering a safe bed, hot food and drinks, showers, laundry, clothing, and vital support to obtain paperwork and ID.

PC Zak Khan handed over the cheque to Lorna and Steve Nolan of the Sanctuary. He said: “I am delighted to be about to present this money to the Gravesham Sanctuary. They provide a much-needed service to those who find themselves homeless over the winter months.”
How the Fund Works
The Kent Police Property Fund is financed by selling items seized during police operations. These funds are then donated to local charities making a real difference on the ground.
