County Lines Dealer Jailed for Over Six Years After £28k Drug Haul Seized
London Drug Runner Nabbed in Wiltshire Police Sting
Darren Walcott, 40, from North Circular Road, London, has been slammed with a six-and-a-half-year prison sentence. The county lines dealer was caught during a Wiltshire Police operation that uncovered a massive £28,000 stash of Class A drugs.
Massive Crack Cocaine and Heroin Bust
Walcott was arrested on 14 September 2020 after officers stopped his Skoda Octavia in Salisbury. When police searched his London home, they found a large haul of crack cocaine and heroin, worth a combined £28,000 on the street, plus £4,000 in cash.
At Swindon Crown Court on 5 November, Walcott admitted to multiple charges including supply of crack cocaine, heroin, possession with intent to supply, and handling criminal property. He was sentenced to a total of six years and 219 days behind bars.
Wiltshire Police Strike Back at County Lines Crime
PC James Isaac, part of Wiltshire Police’s new Operation Fortitude, hailed the sentence. “County lines dealers bring illegal drugs from big cities like London into smaller towns, damaging communities with drugs, violence, and exploitation. We are determined to catch them, seize the drugs and weapons, and ensure justice is served.”
