Drug Deal Foiled on Bryant Street
Police swooped on Bryant Street on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 10, 2022, after spotting what appeared to be a drug deal between two men.
One Suspect Flees, Another Nabbed
When officers moved in to stop the pair on nearby Luton Road, one man managed to escape. But the other was caught red-handed.
Crack Cocaine and Heroin Seized
After a search under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, officers found around 100 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin hidden in the man’s waistband. They also confiscated a mobile phone and a large sum of cash.
Mohamed Hussain Charged and Remanded
Mohamed Hussain, 21, with no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of drug offences. He now faces charges including possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine, plus acquiring criminal property.
He appeared at West Kent Magistrates’ Court on August 11 and was remanded in custody ahead of a Maidstone Crown Court hearing.
