Man's Clothes Set Ablaze in Shocking Kingsmead Incident

Kent Police rushed to grassland behind the Kingsmead Road leisure centre at around 4.30pm on Monday, August 15, 2022. A man’s clothes were seen on fire, leaving him badly injured and needing hospital treatment.

Police Hunt Key Witnesses Following Fire Attack

Detectives thank those who have already come forward. But they are still desperate to hear from anyone who witnessed the alarming incident.

They are especially keen to identify a boy spotted nearby at the time.

Wanted: Boy in Sportswear with Thin Black Glasses

  • White boy aged 13-14
  • Height between 5ft 4in and 5ft 6in
  • Medium build with brown hair
  • Thin black-framed glasses
  • Wearing black trainers, grey tracksuit bottoms with white stripes down the legs
  • Grey and black hooded top with white stripes down the arms

He was part of a group of around ten boys, all dressed in sportswear and carrying backpacks, aged between 12 and 16.
