Drunk Attacker Jailed for Brutal KFC Brawl in Woking
Afeez Adeyemi, 58, of The Broadway, Woking, has been locked up for 12 months after a vicious unprovoked attack outside a KFC late one January night.
Shocking Assault Outside KFC
The victim was about to ride his scooter home after grabbing food when Adeyemi, clearly drunk, started hurling insults. Adeyemi also targeted the victim’s daughter, who had just finished work nearby, grabbing her arm and abusing her.
Violence Erupts as Victim Steps In
The victim tried to protect his daughter, pushing Adeyemi away. Instead, Adeyemi threw two savage punches to the victim’s face, knocking him to the ground and causing serious injuries including multiple facial fractures, cuts, and a haemorrhage to his right eye.
Fast Police Response and Guilty Plea
Adeyemi fled into a nearby flat but was quickly arrested after the daughter called police. During the police interview, he falsely claimed self-defence. He later pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) at Guildford Crown Court.
Adeyemi’s 12-month jail sentence now serves as a warning to those who think violence is the answer.
