A van carrying cargo skidded on black ice and overturned on the M2 coastbound at around 4pm on Monday 8th January 2024. The vehicle smashed through fencing and ended up on its side, blocking one lane and forcing the closure of the hard shoulder between junction 2 and junction 3.
Driver Escapes with Minor Injuries
Emergency services raced to the scene after the crash was reported. Thankfully, the driver managed to escape with only minor injuries. They were treated for shock and taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
