Drug Dealer ‘Al Capone’ Busted in Dramatic Raid
Zak Nsubuga, 29, was caught red-handed during a September police raid on his Enfield home. Essex Police had tracked him as a key drug supplier moving Class A substances from Enfield into Brentwood. The dodgy dealer even tried to hide behind the nickname ‘Al Capone’—but it didn’t fool the cops. When officers smashed through his front door, Nsubuga attempted to ditch a blue bag and make a desperate escape through his bedroom window. Luckily, police stopped him in his tracks.
Drugs, Cash, and Phones Found at the Scene
A thorough search of Nsubuga’s flat revealed a goldmine of illegal goods:
- Seven mobile phones linked to his operation
- Bundles of wrapped Class A drugs ready to sell
- A hefty stash of cash
- Drug prep kit for packaging and dealing
Swift Justice: Three Years Behind Bars
The court wasted no time. Nsubuga faced charges of supplying Class A drugs, possession with intent, and handling criminal property. He pleaded guilty at Southend Magistrates’ Court on September 5 and was sentenced on November 17 at Wood Green Crown Court. The judge handed down a tough three-year prison term.
Detective’s No-Nonsense Warning
“By the time Nsubuga was arrested, he had no idea how strong our case was,” said Detective Sergeant Tom Whelan-Bassett. “He quickly copped to all offences.”
“While he serves his sentence, we’ll pursue his assets under the Proceeds of Crime Act and claw back every penny for the law-abiding public.”
