Missing Man Hunt: Police Appeal to Find James Brown Last Seen in Southport
Police in Preston are on high alert after 52-year-old James Brown vanished last Sunday morning. He was spotted at 10:15am on The Causeway in Southport and may be driving a very distinctive Land Rover.

Though the image is grainy, it clearly shows James’ Land Rover with eye-catching features. Officers are urging the public to study the photos and report any sightings immediately.
What James Brown Looks Like
- Height: 5ft 10in
- Build: Very slim
- Hair: Bald with short grey hair on the sides
- Facial Hair: Grey beard
- Glasses: Occasionally wears reading glasses
- Tattoos:
- Large Mandela on chest
- Snake on right shoulder
- Arabic script on wrist
- Eye with “HJM” on arm
- Black and yellow symbol on arm
- Upside-down pentagon on back
James is often seen wearing a dark green T-shirt or camouflage jumper. Note: He has lost significant weight since the latest photo was taken.

James has known connections to Knutsford, Keswick, Kendal, Penrith, and Carlisle. Police believe he might be heading towards these areas.
