Jealousy Fuels Deadly Ambush

Police revealed the victim didn’t even know Strachan personally — only through the man’s ex-partner. A heated phone argument erupted just 30 minutes before the attack.

“Two men approached the victim, one carrying a baseball bat — later identified as Strachan — the other wielding a knife. They chased him into an alley where Strachan hit him multiple times and stabbed him four times,” said Police Constable Dan Greaves.

CCTV Key to Cracking the Case

Investigators sifted through hours of CCTV footage capturing the terrifying chase and stabbing. This evidence was crucial in securing Strachan’s conviction.
