A jealous rage has landed a 23-year-old man behind bars after a savage stabbing in Grimsby left his victim fighting for life.
Callum Strachan Found Guilty After Brutal Stabbing
Callum Strachan, from Burton Road in Barnsley, was convicted at Sheffield Crown Court following an 11-day trial. He was found guilty of grievous bodily harm, possession of a bladed article, and carrying an offensive weapon. Strachan remains in custody awaiting sentencing.
Grimsby Alleyway Attack Leaves Victim Critical
The chilling assault unfolded just before 7pm on Saturday, 15 June 2024. Emergency crews rushed to an alley near Heneage Road after reports a man had been stabbed multiple times. The victim was brutally chased and struck with a baseball bat before being stabbed.

Jealousy Fuels Deadly Ambush
Police revealed the victim didn’t even know Strachan personally — only through the man’s ex-partner. A heated phone argument erupted just 30 minutes before the attack.
“Two men approached the victim, one carrying a baseball bat — later identified as Strachan — the other wielding a knife. They chased him into an alley where Strachan hit him multiple times and stabbed him four times,” said Police Constable Dan Greaves.
