A tragedy struck in Chippenham on Saturday evening when a woman died following a serious incident at a house in Lowden.
Emergency Services Rush to the Scene
Westlea Fire Station’s technical rescue team from Swindon sprang into action just after 6pm on 14 March. They joined forces with the local Chippenham fire crew in the rescue operation.
Critical care medics from the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, three ambulance crews, and an operations officer also attended, battling to save the woman’s life.
No Suspicion Over Death
Despite the intense response, the woman—whose age remains undisclosed—was pronounced dead at the scene. Wiltshire Police have confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
Road Closures and Aftermath
Lowden was shut in both directions until around 8.30pm while emergency teams worked.
