Detectives have arrested two men following the tragic stabbing death of a 26-year-old in Westminster.
Stabbing Shakes Abbey Orchard Street
Police rushed to Abbey Orchard Street, SW1, at 10:17pm on Friday, March 27, after reports of a stabbing. Officers found the victim suffering from stab wounds and gave first aid before paramedics arrived. Despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Suspects Caught: Murder Investigation Underway
Following an intense investigation, two men aged 18 and 21 were taken into custody on suspicion of murder. They remain held as detectives continue their enquiries.
Victim Named: Farmanullah Sherzad, 26
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley: “These arrests mark significant progress in a fast-moving and complex case. Our thoughts are with Farmanullah’s family during this heartbreaking time. Extra patrols will be on the streets in the coming days to reassure the community.”
A post-mortem confirmed Farmanullah died from multiple sharp force trauma injuries. Police are supporting his family while pursuing justice.
