A man has died following a vicious assault outside a popular Bournemouth bar, sparking a murder investigation.

Emergency crews rushed to MyBar on Charminster Road just after 3am on Monday, 6 April 2026. Sadly, a man in his 40s from Christchurch was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.
Three Men Arrested on Murder Suspicion
Police swiftly arrested three suspects following initial inquiries. Two men aged 37 and 46 from Bournemouth, and a 34-year-old from Poole, are currently held on suspicion of murder.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward
“A detailed investigation is underway,” said DCI Nicky Jenkins from Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team. “We thank the public for their patience as the cordon remains in place.”
She added: “If you witnessed the incident or have dashcam footage from the area, please come forward.”
