Jagger Strang, 18, from Stafford, has admitted making threats to bomb Stafford College, officials confirmed at Leicester Crown Court on 6 May. The teenager pleaded guilty to multiple charges including possession of explosives, threatening to kill, and possession of a prohibited weapon. The case came after a safeguarding officer alerted police in September 2025 following Strang’s alarming threats to fellow students.
Police Seize Explosive Materials
Strang was arrested at his home on the day of the college alert. Officers discovered several chemicals, homemade black powder, thermite, and a blowpipe during the search. Authorities also extracted disturbing information from his mobile phone, including a manifesto and searches related to bomb-making and infamous mass killers.
Charges And Court Proceedings
The teenager faced two counts of possession of explosives, two counts of possessing information likely useful for terrorist acts, threatening to kill, damage property, and possession of a weapon in private. Strang was remanded into custody immediately after his arrest and entered guilty pleas on the trial’s first day.
Sentencing Scheduled
Strang is currently held in custody and awaits sentencing at Birmingham Crown Court, set for 29 June. The case highlights ongoing concerns over college safety and extremist threats in local education settings.
