A drug dealer has been jailed after proactive police officers discovered pre-packaged wraps of cocaine during a stop in High Wycombe. Albert Fetahi was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison at Aylesbury Crown Court on Wednesday, 29 July, after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, namely cocaine. He also admitted driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and using a motor vehicle without third-party insurance. The offences came to light on 26 February, when officers from Thames Valley Police’s Buckinghamshire Proactive Team stopped Fetahi after he attempted to walk away from his vehicle in a residential area. Officers carried out a search and discovered several pre-packaged wraps of cocaine, along with £240 in cash. Further checks established that Fetahi did not have a valid UK driving licence or insurance. Following his conviction, the court ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the cocaine, cash, mobile phone and SIM card seized during the investigation. Fetahi’s driving licence was also endorsed with a total of nine penalty points.
Thames Valley Police said: “Drugs cause significant harm to individuals, families and communities, and we remain committed to disrupting those involved in their supply. “Thanks to proactive policing, illegal drugs have been removed from our streets and another offender has been brought before the courts.”
