A 28-year-old woman has died following a single-vehicle collision on the A30 near Honiton in Devon. Emergency services were called at around 2.10pm on Saturday, August 8, following reports that a grey Cupra Formentor had been involved in a collision on the A30. Devon and Cornwall Police said the vehicle’s front-seat passenger, a 28-year-old woman from the Milton Keynes area, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
Driver suffers minor injuries
The driver of the Cupra suffered minor injuries following the collision. Roads Policing Officers and local police attended and carried out a detailed examination of the scene. The A30 was closed for several hours while investigators worked to establish the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision. Police thanked members of the public for their assistance, patience and understanding while the road remained closed.
Dashcam appeal
Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the grey Cupra Formentor being driven before the crash to come forward. Investigators are particularly interested in obtaining any relevant dashcam footage which may assist their enquiries.
