Gardaí smashed a big-time drug operation in Cork yesterday, confiscating cannabis valued at €70,000 and cocaine worth €10,000. The crackdown targeted the sale and supply of illegal drugs across the city.
Cash and Suspect Nabbed
The teams from Mallow and Mayfield drug units conducted multiple raids around 3pm, seizing a hefty €22,000 in cash alongside the drugs.
Man in His 40s Arrested
A man in his 40s was arrested on the spot and taken to Mallow Garda station. He is being held under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. Gardaí say investigations are ongoing as they crack down on the city’s drug trade.
