Teen Stabbed to Death in Shocking Night Attack
Tragedy struck on Wednesday night when a 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed on Peveril Road. Police were called just after 8.15pm to reports of the attack. Despite urgent medical care, the youngster died from a chest wound.
Second Teen Injured and Arrest Made
Minutes later, officers were alerted to a second stabbing on Stowell Street. Another 17-year-old suffered wounds to his arm and had already gone to hospital. Police tracked him down and arrested the teenager on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody as enquiries continue.
Police Vow Justice as Community Reels
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Wilkinson said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the young man who lost his life on our streets last night. We are in the early stages of the investigation but are committed to uncovering what happened.”
“There is understandable shock in the community. We have a strong police presence and will do everything possible to bring justice for this family.”
